Downgrades

Please remember that as soon as your accreditation expiry date has been exceeded, you are technically no longer accredited to that level and your accreditation status will be adjusted appropriately through the FORS downgrade process.

The policy under the FORS standards is that any operator found to be in breach of the following will be downgraded:

  • the present accreditation has expired
  • a re-approval audit has been failed and the follow-up audit has not been undertaken and passed prior to your expiry date
  • an application for silver or gold has not been submitted prior to your expiry date
  • breaching the terms and conditions

Automated weekly reminders are sent to the primary contact for a period of 60 days prior to expiry, therefore please ensure you notify FORS if the primary contact details change otherwise you will miss out on important communications and reminders.
