The Swain Group were proud to support Kent County Councils ‘One Road for All’ event through exchanging places. The Medway based haulier provided a unit for the event held in Canterbury High Street earlier in October to highlight the dangers vulnerable road users face around Heavy Goods Vehicles.
The event was commissioned to help deliver Kent County Council’s strategy of increasing awareness of cycling safety and steps that cyclists can take to improve their wellbeing on the road.
Matthew Sweet, Commercial Director, The Swain Group said: ‘We are very passionate about road safety and have invested heavily in technology advancements across our vehicle fleet to enable both drivers and cyclists alike to reduce risks on the road.’
‘By placing a vehicle at the event, members of the public had the opportunity to see what challenges our drivers face on a daily basis to ensure the utmost safety to other road users. We have a strong background in supporting road safety initiatives ranging from vehicle demonstrations to donating high-viz tabards to local primary schools.’
