Free workshop for local authorities and freight operators

Free workshop for local authorities and freight operators

Sheffield University Management School is holding a workshop on 28 September aimed at local authority transport planners, logistics operators and transport managers.

The objectives of the workshop are to raise awareness of the impact and implications that urban transport policy has on crucial freight movements and operations, and to identify how to make more informed and efficient transport policies in the future.

These interactive workshops will help visitors to access urban areas more efficiently, and identify how to reduce the impact of traffic congestion. Reducing air and noise pollution is particularly important for urban areas and the workshop will cover ways to make these environments safer.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with fellow transport professionals, discuss current issues and help develop potential solutions and improvements.

The event will take place between 09:15 and 16:30; however pre-registration is essential as places are limited. Refreshments and lunch will be provided, and there is free parking at the venue.

The address for the event is: Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield, Victoria Station Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S4 7YE  (sat nav: S1 2AU)
