FORS Gold member O’Donovan Waste Disposal has received prestigious industry accolades at the FTA everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards and the Tip-ex Tank-ex Awards.
Jacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, was named as Industry Champion at this year’s FTA everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards. Jacqueline was recognised for her passion and drive, and her determination to fundamentally change and improve the transport and logistics industry and the development of those within it.
On receiving the award Jacqueline O’Donovan said: ‘I’m delighted to receive this award and would like to extend my thanks to everyone who made it possible. To be perceived as an Industry Champion is an absolute honour, and I’m proud to collect this award on behalf of my family and staff.’
The FTA everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards programme was initiated to raise awareness of the varied opportunities within transport and logistics, while creating visible role models to inspire and encourage more women to pursue a career in the industry.
O’Donovan Waste Disposal was also named Tipper Haulier of the Year at the Tip-ex Tank-ex Awards for demonstrating an outstanding business strategy, an unwavering commitment to safety, training and the environment, while upholding true professionalism and customer care throughout.
The Tip-ex Tank-ex Awards recognise individuals, teams and businesses leading the way in the tipper and tanker industries. Over 400 representatives from the industry came together to celebrate the 2017 winners.

Based in north London with five sites and 160 employees, O’Donovan offers a wide range of services including skip hire, roll on/off bins, waste transfer stations, tipper and grab lorry services, recycled aggregates, road sweepers, wheelie bins and demolition services.
